Here's what MCN has in today's paper:
"Aprilia's future still hangs in the balance as its creditors negotiate the sale of the entire company, which has hit huge financial problems following the collapse of the Italian scooter market.
However, with several companies showing interest in taking over the firm, Aprilia is likely to be around for the foreseeable future.
Last month Aprilia founder Ivano Baggio was ousted from the company he set up, and replaced by Franco Cattaneo, appointed by Aprilia's banks to run the firm until a buyer is found.
Claudio Braglia, editor of Italian bike magazine Moto World said: 'It is very sad that the banks have decided to get rid of Ivano Beggio. It may not have been going well for Aprilia recently, but he made Aprilia a great success and should at least be able to hold an honorary position in the company'.
Production is underway at the Noale factory and Aprilia is still developing new machines, including its radical V-twin motocross and supermoto bikes."
Any comments?
